ARCHITECTURAL DRAUGHTING
A drafter executes similar tasks as an architect and usually works with them. Drafters prepare CAAD drawings, represent architects in a construction site, ensure workers comply to the design specifications, and give advice about any design correction under architects’ supervision. After architects create a concept, drafters will translate it into the specifications.
Drafters can apply for a drafter licence if they have achieved the minimum requirements under LAM, work for 18 years as drafters and receive recommendation from a professional architect. The candidate must pass the examination conducted by LAM.
